Since we opened up overseas markets, our products have been well received by overseas users. In 2022, we officially established an overseas business department to be responsible for the global marketing of all products and technical services. Up to now, our products have been sold to more than 50 countries and regions around the world, and overseas markets have quickly become a new sales growth trend for the company.

While our products are going overseas, we are also constantly seeking to provide users with more comprehensive software and hardware integration solution services. In May 2023, we reached a strategic cooperation with PointCab, aiming to jointly create an integrated mobile surveying and mapping solution, covering the entire workflow from scanning to BIM modeling. This solution integrates and simplifies the workflow of mobile mapping and point cloud processing, which can bring users a more efficient and convenient experience and more economical input and output.

Background

Richard Steffen, CEO of PointCab, said: "We are confident in the success of this partnership and with Pegasus Robotics, we have found a reliable partner to provide a more streamlined scan-to-BIM process for our global user base. Workflow. The integration of Foxtech Robot mobile surveying and mapping solution with our Origins software fills the gap from data acquisition to CAD delivery, and we are delighted with the innovative value brought by the cooperation and providing user-friendly end-to-end solutions. At the same time, we see great potential in this international partnership and look forward to the future."

The person in charge of Foxtech Robot said: "We are also looking forward to the cooperation with PointCab. As a leading software solution service provider in the industry, PointCab perfectly fits our service concept of providing users with integrated software and hardware spatial data solutions. Foxtech Robot has released more than 20 intelligent UAV systems and mobile 3D measurement platforms so far. This cooperation is an important step for us to expand our overseas business. We will work together with PointCab to provide the best mobile measurement solutions for Chinese and overseas users."

Introduction

Processing point cloud data obtained from mobile surveying and mapping terminals is a complex task. How to ensure the production of high-quality data? How to process the collected data and create deliverable CAD results? The new hardware + software fusion of Foxtech Robot and PointCab perfectly solves these problems, providing users with a mature end-to-end solution that can easily process huge data information.

SLAM100 handheld lidar scanner, with a 360°rotating tilt, can form 270°×360° point cloud coverage, the maximum distance can reach 120 meters, and can collect data from every corner to the largest extent under the condition of no light and no GNSS information. The fuselage integrates three 5-megapixel cameras, which can simultaneously acquire texture information and produce color point clouds and partial panoramas. During the operation, the extraction control points can be automatically collected and converted into local and global coordinate systems. SLAM100 has multi-platform mounting capabilities such as extension poles, drones, vehicles, backpacks, etc., and can be equipped with RTK and panoramic cameras to provide diverse data collection solutions for various application scenarios.

At the same time, Foxtech Robot has developed the application software SLAM GO adapted to Android and iOS mobile terminals and the application software SLAM GO POST adapted to the computer terminal. SLAM GO can synchronize all project information to the cloud, making data post-processing more convenient and fast; SLAM GO POST can perform point cloud browsing and optimization processing, and can generate high-precision, high-definition color point clouds with simple operations and partial panoramic images.

The data collected by SLAM100 can be directly imported into the Origins software developed by PointCab. The software will automatically create a high-quality orthophoto view, making the project present a clear visualization effect, and users can browse the data results more intuitively. With the help of the orthophoto view, it is easy to create elevations, sections, plans, etc. through Origins software. At the same time, Origins can also quickly and clearly create excellent panoramas. In CAD and BIM modeling, direct measurement and collection of 3D information through panoramic views can greatly improve work efficiency. In addition, the semi-automatic tool module Vectorizer in Origins software can quickly generate deliverable CAD results from point cloud data, including vectorized layout, flatness deviation, volume determination, etc., can be completed within seconds.

Thanks to the extensive mutual compatibility of Origins software, all Origins result data can be exported to mainstream CAD and BIM software. PointCab provides optional CAD plug-ins for AutoCAD, Revit, ZWCAD and other software, which optimizes the operation process and enables CAD/BIM users to directly transfer point cloud data to CAD objects (except ZWCAD plug-ins) without point cloud data export/import.

Foxtech Robot's powerful and easy-to-use hardware system is perfectly integrated with PointCab's efficient and intuitive software platform, and finally forms an end-to-end integrated software and hardware solution, or it becomes the perfect choice for beginners and professionals. The strategic cooperation between Foxtech Robot and PointCab will provide more diversified one-stop spatial data solution services for global market users in the future.
